Stamos 'Home And Well,' Thanks Beverly Hills PD After DUI Arrest

BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — John Stamos thanked the Beverly Hills Police Department Saturday, hours after he was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

The former "Full House" star was pulled over on Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Drive around 7:45 p.m. Friday, according to Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino.

Stamos was taken to a hospital due to an undisclosed medical condition and cited after an investigation at the facility determined he was under the influence, Hoshino said. He was later released to the hospital's care.

In a tweet posted to his verified Twitter account shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday morning, the actor said he was "home and well" following his release from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

"Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I'm home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care," he wrote.

Stamos is due to appear in court September 11, Hoshino said.
