Spring Snow Dusts SoCal Mountains
BIG BEAR LAKE (AP) — Some Southern California mountains have received a dusting of new snow from a low pressure system moving through the region.
The Bear Mountain and Snow Summit ski resorts at Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains say on their websites that they received another 4 inches to 6 inches by Wednesday morning, for a total of 8 inches to 10 inches in 48 hours. More snow showers are possible.
Rain and hail also fell in many areas Tuesday.
Despite the precipitation, drought remains a problem for Southern California.
Downtown Los Angeles has received only 6.59 inches of rain since Oct. 1. Normal to date would be 13.28 inches.
