Spirit Airlines Passengers File Suit After Clash On Flight That Went Viral

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Three women who say they were attacked while on board a Spirit Airlines flight have announced the filing of a lawsuit.

Cellphone video captured the March 9 clash after the flight had arrived at LAX from Baltimore.

Video of the incident, which apparently began after another passenger reportedly refused to turn down her loud music, went viral.

The women say it was the airline's fault.

"The flight attendants failed to take control of the situation before it got to the point where we were physically attacked, humiliated and escorted off the plane as if we were criminals," said Danielle Fonda-Thomas, a passenger.

They allege that the other passenger was drunk and flight attendants continued to serve her alcohol.

An airline spokesperson denied the allegations.

The women are being represented by Gloria Allred. They are suing for unspecified damages.
