Spike In Fatal Motorcycle Crashes On Stretch Of OC Road Raises Concern

ORANGE COUNTY (CBSLA.com)  — Motorcyclists on Santiago Canyon Road know how quickly a thrilling ride can turn dangerous.

In just the last seven weeks six riders have been killed in motorcycle crashes along the 11-mile two-lane road.

Locals in the area are getting worried about the sudden increase in crashes.

A rider who posted a video on Youtube told paramedics loose gravel caused his crash. He's lucky he was OK.

Investigators can't pin the crashes to speeding or drinking, but riders say few obey the speed limits on the canyon roads.
