Speeding Motorcyclist, 51, Killed After Striking Pickup Truck Outside Huntington Beach Home

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities said a 51-year-old man speeding on a motorcycle was killed Friday evening when he struck a parked pickup truck outside a Huntington Beach home.

Officials said the crash also caused damage to the home's attached garage.

The accident occurred in the 16800 block of Montclair Lane, according to a statement from the Huntington Beach Police Department.

The unidentified motorcyclist was speeding on a black 1986 Harley-Davidson when he struck a parked silver 2012 Ford F-150 pickup. The truck was parked in the home's driveway, where the biker then struck a portion of the attached garage and continued onto the side yard, according to the statement.

Officers were dispatched to the scene of the crash (Lancaster Drive and Montclair Lane) around 10:10 p.m. Friday. Paramedics rushed the man to UCI Medical Center, where he was later declared dead.

"The residents of the damaged residence were home at the time of the collision and were uninjured," according to the statement.
