Police Release Sketch Of La Verne Stabbing Suspect

LA VERNE (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday released a sketch of a man who is accused of stabbing a woman multiple times.

During the early evening hours on Wednesday, an unknown man approached a 21-year-old woman who walked her dog in the Las Flores Park area.

According to police, the suspect proceeded to stab the woman several times without hesitation.

When the victim fell to the ground, the suspect fled eastbound towards White Avenue on foot.

Paramedics airlifted the victim to County USC Medical Center.

She remains listed in stable condition, and is expected to survive her injuries.

Detectives described the suspect as a Caucasian man in his 20s who is tall and thin. He was last seen wearing a grey or dark hoodie with jeans or dark pants.

Police explained the weapon has not been recovered.

The investigation is ongoing.
