Water Main Break Causes Small Sinkhole In Malibu, Officials Say

MALIBU (CBSLA) -- A water main break caused a small sinkhole to form in Malibu Saturday morning, according to authorities.

Northbound lanes of Malibu Canyon Road between Civic Center Way and Malibu Knolls Road were temporarily closed but have since reopened, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lost Hills Station.

Fire department officials were also on scene to assess conditions.

Residents were asked to avoid the area and to expect travel delays as repairs were made.
