Willowbrook area.

Zach Suarez, a resident of Simi Valley, died in the crash, said Coroner's Lt. David Smith.

The crash was reported at about 3:30 a.m. Friday on the westbound 105 approaching Central Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to the CHP's preliminary investigation, Suarez was riding a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle west on the freeway in the third lane "at high rate of speed."

"For an unknown reason, the rider lost control of the motorcycle" and crashed, the CHP reported.
