Missing Simi Valley Girl, 14, Has Been Reunited With Her Family

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com)  —  A 14-year-old Simi Valley girl last seen Thursday returned to her Simi Valley home Sunday afternoon and has been reunited with her family, officials said.

Authorities did not believe Kyla McNamara was at risk but thought it was unusual she went several days without enabling her social media accounts or her phone.

The missing teen had last been  seen at the Simi Valley Town Center Mall on Thursday around 6 p.m.

The girl's grandmother -- her legal guardian -- returned to the mall about 8 p.m. to pick her up and McNamara was not at the agreed place to meet.

Police said the grandmother reported McNamara as a runaway about 9:45 that same night.

The Simi Valley Police Department wanted to thank the public for providing tips and information.
