Missing Irvine Man Located At Downey Gasoline Statioin

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — An 86-year-old man who had been reported missing from Irvine on Saturday was located in Downey on Sunday afternoon, police said.

According to the Irvine Police Department, Leonard James Romero had become lost after leaving home around 1 p.m. on Saturday to pick up a family member at John Wayne Airport.

About 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Romero attempted to use a credit card at a gasoline station in Downey. Downey police responded to the gas station, and Romero's family has been notified that he was located, Irvine police said.
