Signal Hill Police Locate Missing Elderly Man

UPDATE As of 2 p.m.: Police report that they have located Paul Stephan. No further details were provided.

SIGNAL HILL (CBSLA.com) — The Signal Hill Police Department Saturday asked for the public's help in locating a missing 71-year-old man.

Paul Stephan was last seen at his home in the 2200 block of Walnut Avenue about 8 p.m. Friday prior to going to bed.

When relatives awoke, Stephan was gone. Relatives believe he may be driving a four-door gray, 1995 Honda Accord with California license 4WFY969.

According to Signal Hill police, Stephan is American-Indian. He stands at 5'10" and weighs about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, and dark blue shorts.

Stephan takes daily medication for Dementia and Alzheimer's disease and is considered "at-risk," police said. His family says he has a history of going missing.
