Shots Fired At Plainclothes Narcotics Officers In Lincoln Heights

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police were on tactical alert Friday while they looked for suspects who fired shots at plainclothes narcotics officers in Lincoln Heights.

The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. in the 3500 block of Mission Road, according to Officer Rosario Herrera of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

Police immediately went on a citywide tactical alert. Around 8 p.m., the alert only affected the Central Bureau.

It's unknown how many suspects were involved.

No officers were injured.
