Man Found Fatally Shot Near 110 Freeway In Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK (CBSLA.com) — A 52-year-old man was found shot to death Tuesday near the northbound 110 Freeway at Avenue 60 in Highland Park.

Authorities responded to reports of four to five shots being fired shortly after 5 p.m.

The body of the victim was discovered in the dirt by the freeway about an hour later.

No suspect information was released.

The right two lanes of the northbound 110 were shut down for the investigation. Both lanes were later reopened.

The California Highway Patrol said a SigAlert was in effect until about 10 p.m.
