Sherman Oaks Office Space Attracts Women: 'I'm Actually More Productive Here'

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — People who generally work from home can purchase a membership to a stylish office space geared toward women.

The office, named simply Work, has supplies that are purple, the front desk serves as a candy bar, and there is noticeably feminine decor throughout the office.

"As women, we just realized we care about those details," Work co-owner Sayeh Pezeshki said. "We have real estate agents, bloggers, designers, stylists. It's really a broad range."

While the clientele consist primarily of freelancers or consultants who don't have their own offices, the office space is still a place women will often put on a suit to work in.

"It actually makes me more focused and gives me more energy and motivation to get my work done," retail consultant Vanessa Ting said. "I'm actually more productive here."

Spaces can be rented by the day, week or month, as opposed to traditional office spaces, many of which require long-term commitments.
