2 Deputies Injured When Their Cruiser Overturns In Malibu

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Two deputies were responding to a report of a disturbance in Malibu on Sunday when their patrol car hit a guardrail and overturned.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. on Kanan Dume Road near Latigo Canyon Road, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

Both deputies were airlifted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the intersection of Kanan Dume and Latigo Canyon roads is closed while investigators evaluate the crash.

The deputies had been responding to report of a person throwing bottles in the middle of Pacific Coast Highway.
