Sheriff's Announce Arrest Of Suspect In Arson, Murder Of West Hollywood Man, 53

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com)   —  Sheriff's Deputies have announced the arrest of a suspect in the murder of a 53-year-old West Hollywood man.

Officials  arrested Andrew Clark, 35, around 8:45 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said Clark murdered Eric Young, 53, on May 20.

Fire department personnel responded to a structure fire at 9080 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood where they found Young's body inside a vacant building.

Clark was booked for murder and arson at the West Hollywood Station, where he is being held on $1,250,000 bail.

Authorities did not announce a motive for the crime or explain the relationship between the two men.

The facts of the case will be presented to the District Attorney for consideration of filing formal charges on June 1.
