Sheared Fire Hydrant Ties Up Traffic In Topanga Canyon

TOPANGA CANYON (CBSLA.com) — A sheared fire hydrant tied up traffic Thursday in Topanga Canyon, authorities said.

The hydrant at 275 N. Topanga put out a lot of water, reported Stu Mundel in Sky 2.

Mundel also said LA County Fire was trying to shut off the water.

A car hit the hydrant. The crash was reported just after 10:35 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard was closed in both directions.
