Senior Citizens Hurt In Irwindale Bus Crash

IRWINDALE (AP) — Police have arrested a suspected drunken driver who crashed into a bus filled with senior citizens.

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune says 10 of 48 passengers on the charter bus complained of pain after Sunday night's crash in Irwindale and one was examined at a hospital.

Police say a Honda Civic struck the rear of the bus on the Arrow Highway.

Montiel Reyes, 23, was arrested on suspicion of felony drunken driving. Police say the L.A. resident was unlicensed and his driving privilege had been suspended.

He remains jailed Monday and it's unclear whether he has an attorney.
