Second-Alarm Fire Damages Long Beach Apartments

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — An apartment building on Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach sustained damage in a second-alarm fire early Sunday.

The Long Beach Fire Department reported that the blaze at Paradise Gardens, in the 6400 block of Atlantic Avenue, took firefighters some time to locate since it was in the floor and ceilings of the building.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 6:45 a.m., but a dispatcher said they did not report the time the fire was considered knocked down.

No additional details were immediately available.
