SAN DIMAS (CBSLA.com) — A search and rescue team located two missing hikers Monday along a trail in the San Gabriel Mountains.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the 51-year-old man and 35-year-old woman called 911 around 10:00 p.m. Sunday to report they were lost in the Rattlesnake Peak Trail area.

Authorities established contact with the hikers on a high ridge in the area of Shoemaker Canyon and East Fork Road.

Fog has delayed a helicopter from airlifting the rescue team and hikers out of the woods.

No injuries have been reported.
