Search And Rescue Team Finds 4 Stranded Hikers

CALABASAS (CBSLA.com) — A search and rescue team Saturday reached four stranded hikers but was unable to bring them to safety.

A helicopter was unable to land but the search crew stayed with the hikers to render help and aid.

The four were found in a very remote area of Malibu Creek State Park.

The stranded hikers were wet and cold and stuck on rocks surrounded by surging water.

The rescue team planned to stay with the hikers through the night and attempt another rescue in daylight.

The LA County Fire Department said the hikers appeared to be uninjured.
