Police search for alleged kidnapping suspect after pursuit ends in Mid-City
The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for an alleged kidnapping suspect after a pursuit ended in Mid-City Tuesday morning.
Officers from the LAPD were in pursuit of a driver wanted for kidnapping around 2 a.m. The pursuit ended near the 1700 block of Hauser Boulevard.
Police said the driver abandoned his car and fled the scene. The LAPD has set up a perimeter and there is still an active scene as of 6 a.m. on Tuesday. They warn the nearby neighborhood that the suspect may be armed with a gun and urge residents to be vigilant.
The victim of the alleged kidnapping was taken to a local hospital. It is unknown where the kidnapping took place.
