Bomb Squad Deems Unattended Bag Left In Terminal 4 At LAX To Be Safe
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Operations resumed at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday after a bomb squad determined a suspicious bag that was left within Terminal 4 was safe.
Around 11:00 a.m., airport police halted screening while authorities searched the terminal.
Traffic was closed on the departures level while motorists were diverted to the arrivals level as an alternate route.

"During the nearly 45 minute period of the incident, the west end of the check-in/ticketing lobby and the TSA security screening area of Terminal 4 were cleared of people," said L.A. Airport Police Public Information Officer Robert Pedregon. "However, flight operations in all terminals, including T-4, continued to operate normally."
Just before noon, airport police cleared the scene.
No injuries were reported.
