School Officials To Meet With Parents After OC Teacher Arrested

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Parents of students at a Fullerton junior high school were scheduled to meet with district officials Monday following the arrest of a math teacher on suspicion of sexual misconduct with two male students.

Melissa Lindgren, 28, of La Mirada, faces possible multiple felony charges following her arrest Friday, including child molestation, child annoyance and "dissemination of harmful matter to a minor," according to Fullerton police.

KNX 1070's Mike Landa reports Fullerton Police Chief Dan Hughes said the eighth-grade math teacher at Nicolas Junior High School was arrested within five hours after the school district discovered the allegations.

She was booked at the Fullerton Police Department and was released after posting $100,000 bail, according to police.

Fullerton School District officials issued a statement following Lindgren's arrest, stating the alleged sexual misconduct was reported "by two brave students" and that officials would uphold the district's "zero-tolerance policy on staff misconduct."

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at Nicolas Junior High School located at 1100 West Olive Ave. in Fullerton.
