Motorcycle Pursuit Ends With Deadly Crash In Saugus

SAUGUS (CBSLA) — A motorcycle pursuit in the Saugus area ended in a deadly crash Wednesday night.
According to police, a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was in pursuit of another motorcycle wanted on suspicion of speeding on the 5 Freeway.
The driver then exited the freeway, continuing onto surface streets, where they struck a pickup truck near the intersection of Haskell Canyon Road and Bristol Way.
The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene.
