Santa Paula Man, 21, Allegedly Confesses To Sexual Assault At Family Gathering

SANTA PAULA (CBSLA.com) —    Authorities in Santa Paula say a 21-year-old man has confessed to committing a sexual assault on a 16-year-old female who was attending a family gathering.

Police in Santa Paula said they were called to the 600 block of Sycamore Street just before 4:40 a.m. Sunday.

On arrival, police said they encountered a 16-year-old female who said she was sexually assaulted.

During an investigation, police said they learned the female was at a family member's house when the alleged assault occurred.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Adam Sanchez was arrested without incident for the sexual assault.

Police say Sanchez admitted to the crime.

Sanchez was booked into Ventura County Jail and is being held on a $10,000 bail.
