Santa Barbara Investigation Continues Into Triple Homicide Including 5-Year-Old Victim

SANTA BARBARA (CBSLA.com)  —  The Sheriff's Coroner's office has positively identified three people found slain inside a Santa Barbara home.

The residence is located in the 4600 block of Greenhill Way. Officials were dispatched to the home around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for a welfare check. After entering the home, sheriff's determined a search warrant was needed.

Early Thursday morning, sheriff's obtained a search warrant and went back into the home and discovered the remains of three individuals.

The victims have been identified as 57-year-old Dr. Weidong Henry Han, his 29-year-old wife Huijie Yu (AKA Jenny) and the couple's 5-year-old daughter, Emily Han -- a Kindergartner at Foothill Elementary.

Detectives on Thursday said they were following all leads. The cause and manner of death has not been revealed.

Early indications suggested the victims were targeted and the crime was not a random attack, the Sheriff's office said.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call the Sheriff's Anonymous Tip-Line at (805) 681-4171.
