Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Investigate Death Of Woman Found By Roadway

SANTA BARBARA (CBSLA.com)  —   Authorities said the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a female whose body was found Saturday morning.

The woman's body was found in the area of E. Camino Cielo Road and Arroyo Burro Road near the Glass Factory.

The Sheriff's Coroner's Office is withholding the woman's  identity until next of kin can be notified.

The decedent was discovered  approximately 9:50 a.m. by a passerby who observed the body off the roadway.

Sheriff's deputies responded and confirmed the subject was deceased.

Detectives said this is an active investigation.
