San Francisco Grabs Early Lead, Cruises To Win Over LMU

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mark Tollefsen had 21 points, Tim Derksen added 19 points and San Francisco took control early to cruise to a 67-45 win over Loyola Marymount on Thursday.

Tollefsen had two 3-pointers and Kruize Pinkins added another in a 15-0 run that gave the Dons a 31-8 lead at the 7:46 mark of the first half. It was 39-20 at the break with the Dons shooting 57 percent with six 3s and the Lions 32, going 0-6 behind the arc. Tollefsen had 15 points and Derksen 11.

Pinkins had 12 points and Devin Watson added 11 with six assists for the Dons (11-16, 5-10 West Coast Conference).

Godwin Okonji had 22 points for the Lions (8-20, 4-12). He shot 6 of 13 from the field, while his teammates were 8 of 34, and went 10 of 12 from the line.

Tollefsen had 10 rebounds as the Dons had a 41-27 advantage on the boards.
