San Bernardino man arrested for deadly stabbing
A San Bernardino man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing a another ma last week, police said.
It happened on April 3 at around 12:45 a.m., at which point officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of E. Highland Avenue for reports of a stabbing in the area, according to a release from the San Bernardino Police Department.
Officers arrived and found a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds, the release said. He was declared dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene to assume the investigation and identified the suspect as 34-year-old Mark Amabisca. He was taken into custody on Sunday in the 800 block of W. Baseline Street, police said.
"Detectives are attempting to identify any additional witnesses who may have been in the area when the stabbing occurred," the SBPD statement said. Anyone who knows more is asked to contact them at (909) 384-5637.
