San Bernardino County brothers arrested for shooting that left two teenagers wounded
Authorities arrested two brothers from Colton for their alleged part in a shooting that left two teenagers with multiple gunshot wounds in early March.
They were called to a home in the city after learning of a shooting, according to a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
"Upon arrival, deputies discovered two juveniles were shot multiple times," the release said.
Investigators were able to determine that the victims were involved in a verbal disagreement with two men inside of a white Volkswagen Golf hatchback just before they were shot.
They were able to identify the two men as 22-year-old Raul Martinez Jr. and 18-year-old Bryan Martinez, who are brothers from San Bernardino. Arrests warrants were issued for both of the men for attempted murder and assault with a firearm, deputies said.
Over the weekend on Sunday, deputies pulled Raul over and placed him under arrest for his active warrant, as well as a new weapon violation after he was found in possession of a loaded firearm, the release said.
The next day, members of the Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division and the Multiple Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the brothers' home, where they arrested Bryan.
Both were booked and being held on $1 million bail.
