The vandalism consisted of spray-painted tags on the outside of classrooms throughout the campus, 344 W. Workman St., Covina police Sgt. Gregg Peterson said.

"The tagging included reference to various political leaders, God, Satan, and drawings of body parts," Peterson said.

The damage was estimated at $600. Classes will resume Wednesday, Peterson said.

A statement from the Los Angeles Archdiocese said that school officials reported the graffiti to police after discovering it Tuesday morning and that authorities are investigating.
