Fans Pumped About Possible Backstreet Boys-Spice Girls Tour

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Backstreet's back, all right!

One of the iconic boy band groups of the '90s is back in the studio this month, starting work on a new album, Backstreet Boys member A.J. McLean tells Rolling Stone magazine. They haven't recorded an album together since 2009.

But what's also getting the older range of the Millenial demographic pumped is that the Backstreet Boys may also pair up with another mega-iconic group from the '90s, The Spice Girls.

"The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the past year and a half, and it's something we're still talking about," McLean said.

And many fans are saying: I want it that way.

A Spice Girl fan group from Italy seems dubious about the rumors.

These tour talks may not pan out, but fans can at least look forward to two new releases from Backstreet members A.J. McLean and Nick Carter. McLean is releasing his rock-influenced single "Live Together" as a standalone song before releasing a new album. And Carter has just wrapped filming a futuristic zombie Western, "Dead 7," which features Backstreet members and members of the former boy band 'NSync.
