Royals Walk Off Against Grilli, Angels 5-4

KANSAS CITY (CBSLA.com) — Omar Infante singled to left off Jason Grilli in the bottom of the ninth to score Alex Gordon and break a 4-4 game to beat the Angels 5-4 on Sunday.

C.J. Wilson only lasted 3.2 innings, giving up seven hits and four earned runs with four walks. Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie gave up two earned runs and two unearned runs through 6.2 innings of work.

The Angels struck first with a Kole Calhoun homer to right, followed by Trout scoring on a fielding error and a Josh Hamilton double to right, giving the Angels a 3-0 lead by the third.

Kansas City took the lead when Gordon walked with the bases loaded to score Escobar, taking a 4-3 lead.

The Angels tied the game with an Eric Aybar homer to right, before Grilli, who earned one strike out before facing Infante, took the loss.
