Rosary Service To Be Held For LAPD Officer Killed In Crash

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A rosary service will be held Wednesday to honor an LAPD officer killed in traffic accident.

Nicholas Lee, 40, was killed Friday at the intersection of Loma Vista Drive and Doheny Road in Beverly Hills when the driver of a truck apparently lost control of the vehicle and struck Lee's police cruiser, officials said.

Lee's partner, who has only been identified by LAPD officials as Stephanie, was released from the hospital Saturday night.

The public rosary service will be held at St. Basil Catholic Church on Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown.

A funeral service was scheduled for Thursday morning at Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles, where a large turnout is expected, according to LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith.
