Robbery Suspect Stabs Woman In Face, Steals Purse In Silver Lake

SILVER LAKE (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help on Tuesday to locate a robbery suspect who stabbed a woman in the face.

Around 2 a.m., officers were sent to Sunset Boulevard and Parkman Avenue for report of a female who was stabbed in the face during a robbery, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned a thief stabbed the victim in her face and then stole her purse.

Paramedics transported the woman to a hospital. An update on the victim's condition was not immediately available.

Detectives described the suspect as a man in his 30s who is armed with a knife.
