Police Search For Armed Robbery Suspect In North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday searched for an armed suspect who robbed a man and woman in North Hollywood.

Shortly before 5:00 a.m., officers were sent to the 6800 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard for report of shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned that two victims fled to a 76 Gas Station, located at Hart Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, to get away from the suspect.

A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect demanded money from the man and woman at gunpoint.

The man proceeded to throw money on the ground and ran away. The woman and suspect then both ran to their vehicles.

According to police, the woman began to follow the suspect and he fired at least two shots at her.

When the suspect exited his vehicle to pick up the money, the woman attempted to run him over. The suspect then fled from the scene.

Detectives described the suspect as a Hispanic man who traveled in a black Honda Civic.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
