Riverside Man Charged With Friend's Murder At Party

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Murder charges have been filed against the friend of man who was fatally shot at a party in Riverside over the weekend, police said Tuesday.

Jose Eloy DelaRosa, 31, of Riverside, was shot to death before 1:40 a.m. Sunday at a small party in a home in the 8400 block of Gramercy Place, Riverside police Sgt. David Amador said. There were no other injuries and the suspect fled before officers arrived.

Investigators believe DelaRosa and his friend, Cesar Ivan Luna, 23, of Riverside, began to argue at one point, then Luna pulled out a gun and shot DelaRosa, Amador said.

Murder charges have been filed against Luna, who is at large, Amador said.

Anyone with information about the shooting can contact Detective Greg Rose at (951) 353-7136 or Detective Dave Smith at (951) 353-7103.
