Riverside Firefighter Delivers Own Baby In Front Seat Of Truck

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Riverside firefighter Jeremy Roberts routinely responds to emergencies, but he was faced with an altogether new challenge early Saturday morning.

As he was driving his wife to Loma Line Hospital in Menifee at around 4:15 a.m., hie wife suddenly went into labor.

Roberts, harnessing his paramedic training, sprang into action and pulled the truck over.

He then delivered his first daughter, Adeline, in the front seat of the truck.

The family -- including Adeline's older brother, Hudson -- all later arrived safely at the hospital, the City of Riverside Fire Department said.

"This will go down as Jeremy's craziest, unique, dramatic, and most 'special' call of his career," the fire department said in a Facebook post.
