Reward Offered For Return Of Custom Bike Belonging To Little Girl Whose Dad Died

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A family is distraught after they say a motorcycle made for a little girl whose father passed away was stolen.

The motorcycle described as a Shovelhead Harley was made by Anthony Castaneda, who died in a car accident.

Castaneda's widow Marcella says her husband built the bike for his 5-year-old daughter Frankie to ride one day.

"He was constantly working on stuff, constantly building stuff, but that was his pride and joy," she said.

The family says the bike had been kept at the Riverside home of a friend, who worked on it occasionally.

Last weekend, the motorcycle went missing and is believed to have been stolen.

"Just when you think you can breathe a little bit, something like this happens to bring it all back, you know. It just hurts," she said. "It's like insult to injury."

The Harley isn't insured.

"It's probably not worth much as far as money goes, but the sentimental value is irreplaceable; there's no replacing it," she said.

The family says a police report has been filed, and friends say they are offering a $1,000 cash reward for its return and that no questions will be asked.

Anyone with information as to the bike's whereabouts was asked to email to OCbarguys@yahoo.com or drop it off at either the Uptown Tavern Temecula or Juke Joint Bar Anaheim.
