Retired Anaheim Drama Teacher Suspected Of Molestation, Child Pornography

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A retired Anaheim middle school teacher faced child molestation charges Wednesday, police said.

David Bruce, 65, was arrested Tuesday after police served a search warrant at his home in unincorporated Anaheim, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

He was later booked on two counts of child molestation and one count of possession of child pornography, Wyatt said. Bruce was released on $100,000 bail.

Investigators say the crimes allegedly occurred while the identified two victims - who are both now adults - were students at Sycamore Junior High School.

Bruce, a former drama teacher at Sycamore from Oct. 1981 until his retirement in 2010, continued to work as a substitute teacher through 2013, according to Wyatt.

Police are asking for any additional victims to come forward.

Anyone with information about the suspect or possible additional victims are asked to call Anaheim Police Detective Cashell at (714) 765-1972 or Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
