LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday searched for burglars who targeted four restaurants in La Habra and Whittier.

The burglars smashed in the windows of California Sushi & Teriyaki and Pizza Pub around 1 a.m., according to the La Habra Police Department.

Upon their arrival, officers learned two cash registers and a small safe was stolen from the pizza restaurant. No monetary loss was reported at the sushi restaurant.

About an hour later, authorities responded to Rosarito Tacos and La Casita Olvera, according to the Whittier Police Department.

A cash register was taken from La Casita Olvera, detectives said.

The front windows were broken into at Rosarito Tacos, but nothing was stolen.

All four of the restaurants are located on Whittier Boulevard.

Surveillance video captured one suspect at both locations.

At this time, it remains unclear if the restaurant burglaries are related to each other.
