Reports: Banned Clippers Owner Has Prostate Cancer

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Banned Clippers owner Donald Sterling has prostate cancer, according to multiple media outlets.

The New York Post first reported the story. ESPN.com claimed their sources also confirmed the 80-year-old is battling cancer.

Sterling's attorney told KCAL9 he could not comment.

The NBA banned Sterling for life from any association with the Clippers and the league in the wake of racist remarks he made on an audio recording. He was also fined $2.5 million.

NBA owners held their first meeting to discuss forcing Sterling to sell the Los Angeles team on Thursday.
