Report: Steve Nash Expected To Play Friday Against Wizards

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - A little over a week ago, Kobe Bryant announced he would be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Steve Nash then seemed to delay of making it official for him too, but Thursday, Yahoo Sports reports that the 40-year-old point guard is ready to make his return.

Limited to just ten games by a nagging nerve issue in his back, Nash fully participated in Lakers practice Thursday, and expects to be in the lineup Friday night when they host the Wizards.

Nash has been out for five weeks.

Coach Mike D'Antoni also expects Nick Young and Jordan Hill to return Friday.
