Report: Capriotti's Sandwich Shop To Close Four O.C. Locations

ORANGE COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is reportedly closing four Orange County locations run by the same franchisee on Wednesday.

The Orange County Register reports the abrupt closure impacted locations in Irvine, Tustin, Newport Beach and Fountain Valley.

Capriotti's has closed two out-of-state locations run by the same franchisee, according to the publication, while two others by the same franchisee in Clark County and Nevada were expected to remain open.

The Chief Executive Officer at Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, Ashley Morris, issued the following statement, according to the Register:

"Capriotti's Sandwich Shop has decided to end a relationship with one of our franchisees. We are committed to bringing quality subs to people across the country and are actively looking for partners in the area to keep our tradition alive in Orange County."

Capriotti's, according to the Register, said the departure from Orange County was temporary.
