Remains Found Buried In Shallow Grave In Riverside
RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Remains have been reportedly found buried in a shallow grave in Riverside, police said Friday.
Authorities discovered the remains Thursday night in a field after receiving a tip that a possible body was buried there.
CBS2's Jasmine Viel reported one detective was seen carrying a small white bundle away from the scene.
According to Viel, the investigation began Wednesday after a child was brought into a hospital with illegal drugs in its system. The parents told protective services that they had buried their other baby that did not survive birth a year ago near a homeless encampment, claiming they did not know what to do with the body.
