Redlands Music Instructor Arrested For Child Porn

REDLANDS (CBSLA.com) — A self-employed music instructor from Redlands has been arrested for possession of child pornography, officials said Friday.

Michael Freeland, 52, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon and is currently free on $25,000 bail.

An investigation began in September 2013 when San Bernardino County detectives responded to the 7000 block of Bobcat Lane in Highland in regards to suspected child porn stored on several electronic devices.

An investigation revealed that Freeland was the owner of the devices that contained the explicit images.

He was finally interviewed by detectives Tuesday and arrested. An arraignment date has not been set.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should call the Crimes Against Children Detail, Det. Jennifer Burkhart at (909)387-3615.
