Redlands Man Arrested In Connection With Attempted Bank Robbery

REDLANDS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in San Bernardino County have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the attempted robbery of a Wells Fargo bank branch.

Zachary James Watson of Redlands was arrested Friday morning, authorities said in a department statement.

Officers said Watson entered the downtown Redlands bank, located at 220 E. State Street, just before 10 a.m. and allegedly handed the teller a demand note.

"After the teller refused to hand over the money, the man left on foot and was apprehended by officers across the street from the bank," police said in the statement.
