Red Hot Chili Peppers To Play At Benefit Concert For Bernie Sanders

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Red Hot Chili Peppers have planned to perform at an upcoming concert in support of presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The benefit concert dubbed "Feel the Bern" is scheduled for Feb. 5th at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The venue is located at 929 South Broadway and will feature Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer.

Flea of the seven-time Grammy Award-winning band said via Instagram they offered to give Sanders money to pay for the venue, but he wouldn't accept.

"Every other politician greedily grabs every cent they can get from any scumbag lobbyist," Flea wrote. "This is a man with integrity."

Event organizers say the show is expected to begin at 8 p.m., but doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online. For more information, click here.
