Red Flag Warning In Effect Until 8PM Monday
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Fire departments across the Southland Monday have added extra personnel as a red flag warning was in effect until 8 p.m.
The warning was issued for Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange counties due to strong Santa Ana winds and low humidities, according to the National Weather Service.
Gusts were expected to reach 40 mph.
In Canoga Park, strong winds knocked over a large tree which crushed a Ford Mustang overnight.
Temperatures were expected to reach the high 70s Monday in some parts of the Southland.
The red flag warning could be extended into Tuesday if conditions persist, the NWS said.
